Music

Music has always been a defining part of my life, thanks to my parents, who instilled a deep love for it at an early age. Growing up, there was always music playing in our home—it was the backdrop to everyday life and the centerpiece of every gathering. Whether we were hosting guests or just spending time together, music was how we connected, shared stories, and created lasting memories. My first concert, seeing The Jonas Brothers, was one of those early moments that sparked my ongoing passion for live music and set me on a lifelong journey to explore and share the power of music.

At Santa Clara University, I continued to immerse myself in music as Head of Entertainment for the SCU Collective. I curated nearby concert recommendations for our monthly publications, wrote artist blurbs, and organized fundraising events where student musicians could showcase their talent. My internships at Sweety High and Wasserman fueled my desire to work in the industry. At Sweety High, I helped promote emerging artists, and at Wasserman, I gained insight into brand partnerships and the business side of music. My role model, Jimmy Iovine, has always inspired me to think beyond the music itself and focus on building long-term careers for artists.

Projects

I aimed to combine my love for music with photography, always wanting to capture the essence of a song through an image. Out of a wide selection of albums, I chose four that resonated with me the most. After settling on those albums, I designed shoots that I felt best conveyed the core of each one. In the final project, my photos peeked through the album covers as if they were reflections of the songs themselves.

The phrases Thinkin’ Bout You, Know Yourself, A Head Full of Dreams, and Writer in the Dark came together to tell a story and create a visual narrative. Throughout the process, I learned a great deal about both the technical and conceptual aspects of photography. After a month of dedicated work, I was proud to present this collection and share it with others.
